Buzios

Considered the St. Tropez of Brazil, Buzios boasts a cosmopolitan style reminiscent of the French Riviera. Take a walking tour of the Emerências Reserve where you'll find exotic plants, bromeliads and even the last Golden Tamarin monkeys in the region. Sample the large shrimp with coffee mignonette, sweet mashed potatoes and vanilla. Try snowy grouper served with a combination of mushrooms, fresh pasta and meat.

Stroll down Rua das Pedras, lined with small traditional art shops and sophisticated boutiques. The objects at Arte Marinha are made by local craftsmen and are inspired by the ocean.
